Account Setup
User Dashboard

My Role
Accessibility Experience Designer (AXD)

Challenge

Bank account onboarding can often feel overwhelming for users, especially with U.S. Bank’s lengthy setup process. To address this, my team focused on reducing cognitive overload by creating a streamlined user dashboard for account setup.

Intention

Design a user dashboard to simplify the account setup process. Our objective was to integrate UX gamification and personalization to make the experience more engaging and less stressful.

Tools

Figma and React

Dashboard Goals

  • Provide instant gratification when users complete an account setup task
  • Utilize gamification to encourage  user motivation
  • Reduce user anxiety by breaking up onboarding tasks
  • Allow users to easily dismiss optional tasks

User Dashboard- Account Setup

Account setup tasks for users are displayed as action chips in the "To-do" section. Once a task is completed, it moves to the "Done" section, providing users with a sense of accomplishment. Users also have the option to remove optional onboarding tasks from their dashboard.

Mobile and desktop responsive

Mobile Experience

The task action chips adapt seamlessly to a mobile layout. Since action chips are commonly used throughout the bank, users are already familiar with this component.
