Searching Destinations

Before

After

What I Changed

  • Centered the search bar
  • Removed confusing ‘Apple Map Suggestions’ and replaced with ‘Similar Destinations’ suggestions

Exploring Rentals

Before

After

What I Changed

  • Replaced the 'door' icon (signifying the amount of bedrooms) with 'bed' icons in order to signify the amount of beds the rental offers

Viewing Rental

Before

After

What I Changed

  • Separated the ‘favorite’ and ‘share’ icon because their close proximity is an accessibility issue
  • Designed an extra section for pet information in order to de-clutter the rental detail section
  • Provided user with more information about what makes the rental property ‘pet-friendly’ (for example: fencing)

Reading Reviews

Before

After

What I Changed

  • Gave guests the ability to upload their own photos of the rental property in order to validate Vacasa’s professional photos taken of the properties

Date Selection

Before

After

What I Changed

  • Made ‘Select a date’ clickable so that users have the option to manually search for dates
  • Created a ‘Skip to first available’ CTA so that users do not need to scroll through every month in order to see first availability
  • Added the days of the week on the actual calendar to each month
